Location 1: Banks, US 26 at OR 6. There are two separate oak groves in the 'Y' of the intersection of Hwy 26 and Hwy 6, and more oak trees on the north side of Hwy 26, nearly meeting Location 2 below.
Location 2: Banks, US 26 at NW Harrison Rd. Oaks on south side of Harrison Road eastward on the north side of Hwy 26. Late April 2005 by Jay Withgott.

North Plains, NW Mountaindale Rd at NW Dairy Creek Rd. Marginal oak woods.
Section 35
Location 1: North Plains, Mountaindale Road at Dersham Road Marginal oak groves.
Location 2: North Plains, NW North Ave at NW Mountaindale Rd. Small oak grove.

Township 1 North, Range 3 West
Section 1
North Plains, NW Highland Ct at NW 313th Ave. McDonalds at North Plains. North of Hwy 26, west of Glenco Road. Birds present since early 2000's. Marginal habitat, very few oaks, but filbert orchards south across Hwy 26 must be the major source of nuts for the granary in a drowned ash in the ditch along side Hwy 26. (See Section 12.)
Section 5
NW of Roy 1/2 mile on Harrington Road. A very few trees on farm. Birds in November 2005.
Section 10
Location 1: SE corner of Kerkman Road and Harrington Road. High count 6 by Mary Anne Sohlstrom. Nests and granary tree by Dennis Manzer in November 2004.
Location 2: Kerkman Road north of Salzwedal Road by Mary Anne Sohlstrom.
Location 3: Irregular along Salzwedal Road by Mary Anne Sohlstrom (see Section 15).

Large oak grove east of Milne Road north of Zion Church Road.
Section 12
North Plains, NW 314th Ave at NW Beach Rd. Residental oaks amid filbert orchard, directly south of McDonalds at North Plains. See previous description. (See Section 1.)

Section 18
Forest Grove, 5467 Hwy 47, 3 miles north of Forest Grove. Woodpecker seen on pole near younger oak grove in April 1994. Marginal habitat.
Section 31
Forest Grove, College Way at 21st Ave. Pacific University. Present since at least since late 1970's. (See nearby T.1 S., R.3 W., Section 6.)

Hillsboro, NE 1st Place at NE Hayes St. On pole in April 1994. Very good residential habitat to NW 1st Place and NE 3rd Ave.

Section 15
Location 1: Hillsboro, NW Jacobson Rd at NW Helvetia Rd. North of Hwy 26 at Shute Road. Several sightings including May 1988, August 1990, September 1993.
Location 2: Hillsboro, NW Meek Rd at NW Oak Dr. South of Hwy 26 at Shute Road. Potential habitat in residential area.
Section 21
Hillsboro, NW Sewell Rd at NW Evergreen Rd and north on Sewell Road.
Section 28
Hillsboro, NW 268th Ave and NW 264th Ave east of airport, south of Evergreen Road.
Section 27
Location 1: Hillsboro, 2300 Brookwood Parkway. Dawson Creek Corporate Park. February 1992, March 1994.
Location 2: Hillsboro, Evergreen Reservoir Rd at West Ring Rd. Birds heard in small oak grove near here about 1993, before Intel and roads built.
Location 3: Hillsboro, 2101 NE Shute Rd. Residential area. February-April 1993. This may be the main source for othe sightings in this township. This area has since been developed, but many oak trees remain.
Section 30
Location 1: Hillsboro, NE Jackson School Rd at NE Sunrise Ln, and west to NE Trisha Dr. Oak residential.
Location 2: Hillsboro, NE Rogahn at NE Jackson School Rd and east on Rogahn to Sonrise Church. Oak residential. Sighting in October 2005.
Section 32
Location 1: Hillsboro, NE 25th Ave at NE Parkwood St. Bicentential Park. Oak grove. Seen August 1991. (See adjacent T.1 S., R.2 W., Section 5.)
Location 2: Hillsboro, NE 20th Ave at NE Hyde St. Potential at Shadywood Park. Large Oak grove.
Section 33
Hillsboro, NE Olympic St at NE 34th Pl. Hillsboro Fairgrounds and south. Nests in wooden light poles on ball fields along Light Rail tracks.
Section 35
Hillsboro, NW Birch St at NW 225th Ave. Orenco Grade School. Granary tree is flooded dead tree north of Light Rail tracks.

Beaverton, SW Karl Braun Dr at SW Zworykin Dr. Tektronix campus, Jenkins east of Murray. Old oaks. Good habitat. No records.

Unexplored areas: SE part of county. Southern portions of Beaverton, Cooper Mountain, Tigard, Durham, Sherwood, Scholls, King City.
