Highlights of Saturday's 12-hour pelagic trip, in weather that got nicer and nicer all day (the fog and drizzle at dawn, and wind and waves at noon, turned into sun and calm seas in the afternoon), included 5 XANTUS'S MURRELETS about 35-45 miles off Yachats/Waldport, 5 SOUTH POLARS SKUAS seen during the day (one may have been a repeat), and a FLESH-FOOTED SHEARWATER in Lane Co. about 40 miles offshore. We also had good numbers on of NORTHERN FULMARS, BLACK-FOOTED ALBATROSSES, and CASSIN'S AUKLETS. BULLER'S SHEARWATERS remain in low numbers, with <40 seen. And we had brief views of a single NORTHERN FUR SEAL.
